In an earlier post I wrote that I had previewed the book, “Think of a Numb3r” by John Verdon. I thought that I’d buy the book, after reading the excerpt. That I did. I’m almost finished reading it. Any reader who likes mysteries, suspense and loves solving puzzles will enjoy this story. On top of it, the novel is well written. If there is a flaw, it is the use of heavy duty swearing in places to make some characters appear realistic. For my money, the novel is worth its price. I’ll cut this post short. I have to get back to this book on my Kobo reader. I can’t wait to find out, if in the end retired detective Gurney can match this killer’s thinking ability, and can undo his evil plans before more innocent people fall prey to him.
